What is “Mindful Movement”?

Let’s talk fitness!! I believe many people struggle with fitness and sticking to their plans because society tells you that the only workouts that count are the ones that are structured and typically take place in a “gym environment“, whether is be at a gym, studio, outdoors, or even your living room. Usually following a specific set of workouts given by a fitness professional.
Well I’m here to tell you that’s just not true.
Have you ever watched a baby, toddlers and even young children play? If it was necessary we follow these rigid plans wouldn’t we be teaching these to our children at an early age, the same way we teach them to bathe and brush their teeth daily? See the reason us adults have to set aside time to “workout“ is because that pure innocence, and joy of PLAY and FUN is snatched away from us once we start being indoctrinated via the education system (school). Children go from being FREE to run, jump, play and explore what their bodies can do , to sitting at desk all day being told to sit still and not move. Preparing them to grow up and do the same thing at their 9-5 job. This is so UN NATURAL, and un healthy!! That is why when I create my own fitness plans and help others to create theirs I use my three step motto and incorporate “Mindful Movement”!!
